OUR HISTORY
Founded by Gilbert Pommepuy in 1984, FORCE 3 MEDICALE is a family business specializing in the importation and distribution of medical and surgical products.
Initially, the company marketed St-Jude heart valves, ACS coronary angioplasty balloons, ABIOMED cardiac assistance pumps and Cryolife homografts. The company then added surgical telescopes and fiber optic headlamps from Designs for Vision to its product line.
In the fall of 1997, the founder’s son, Youri Pommepuy, joined the company and specialized in the distribution of custom-made surgical telescopes and headlamps for surgeons and dentists.

In 2008, the company made the decision to partner with XENOSYS, renowned worldwide for its surgical loupes with superior optical clarity and field of vision. In addition, this company offers a portable medical camera system, a state-of-the-art technology that allows surgeons to film the surgical procedure.
In 2016, CryoLife (now called Artivion) acquired On-X Life Technologies, which allowed it to distribute BioGlue glue and homografts. Youri Pommepuy then became an independent agent for the sale of all ARTIVION cardiac products.
In 2020, Youri Pommepuy became president and owner of Force 3 Medical. He continues to distribute custom surgical loupes, LED lights and medical camera systems. He maintains the same business philosophy as his father, which is to prioritize after-sales service and to serve physicians with humility, which contributes to the company’s reputation for reliability and efficient service.
